Automate routine tasks.

To get more from the Neural Networks, you often need to load data from files, save results to files, draw charts, perform data comparison and transformations according to your own algorythm (using custom indicators for stock trading is a good example) and so on. You also often need to find an optimal Neural Network configuration, like number of neurons in the hidden layer, number of inputs, and lags that are used, and so on.

It is possible to use Cortex "by hand" to do these tasks, or at least most of them, but it means that you will have to watch the computer working, sometimes (not very often) typing in new numbers, or entering new names for input / output files.

Alternatively, you can use the SLANG scripting language, to do all this automatically.

SLANG engine has an access to all essential functionality of the Cortex, and it allows you to do in automated mode all you can do "by hand". You simply don't have to be around during the long calculations.

Technical details:
OS: Windows 95 or later (98, 2000, NT...)
Cortex and Cortex's SLANG engine are located in the same EXE file. To register Cortex, you need to order Cortex, to register SLANG, you need to order SLANG - they are not the same. Accordingly, there are two "Register" menu items in the Cortex program, one for the Cortex itself, and one for the Scripting Engine.
